What is AIDA

  • Attention: The first step in the AIDA model, where marketers aim to capture the attention of potential customers. This can be achieved through eye-catching advertisements, compelling headlines, or innovative product designs that stand out in a crowded market. The goal is to make the target audience aware of the product or brand.
  • Interest: Once attention is captured, the next step is to generate interest in the product or service. This involves providing more detailed information that highlights benefits and features. Marketers use persuasive content, engaging storytelling, and relevant data to maintain and increase the audience's interest, moving them closer to considering a purchase.
  • Desire and Action: The final stages of the AIDA model involve creating a desire for the product and prompting action. Desire is fostered by emphasizing the product's unique value propositions and how it meets the consumer's needs. Action is prompted by clear calls-to-action (CTAs), offering promotions or incentives, and simplifying the purchasing process to convert interest into sales.
